TAN PREPARATION
Before your tan:
Remove all hair at least 24 hours before your appointment
No one likes streaky legs or irritated skin so please make sure you shave the day before your tan. We recommend 24 hours before your appointment. If you have to shave or wax the day of your appointment blast cold water onto your skin to close your pores and avoid a spotty look to your tan.
Moisturise in the days leading up to your appointment - but not on the day of the appointment
Keep your skin glowing and hydrated to create the perfect canvas for your spray tan but do not moisturise before your tan on the day of your appointment (wait until straight after your initial wash off).

Manicures and Pedicures
Make sure that all Manicures and Pedicures are done before your tan. Our technicians will ensure your nails are wiped down and no excess tan is on your nails after your tan is applied.

Exfoliate / Remove all fake tan
Make sure you exfoliate before your appointment. The better you exfoliate the more flawless your tan will look. It is best not to get a tan over a tan or over sunburn where possible to ensure flawless results.
Soak your skin in a warm to hot bath for 10mins and then gently exfoliate the skin.
Ask us in salon for products that assist with getting your tan off effectively.
You do not want to use harsh chemicals or any alcohol base removers as these are extremely drying and ageing for the skin.A bath with essential oils or some gorgeous scented bath bombs and an exfoliating mitt is all you will need.
Don’t wash your hair after you exfoliate
Washing your hair can leave residue on your skin creating a barrier. No one wants uneven tan lines, save the hair washing until after the tan.

Remove Moisturiser, Make up, Deodorant & Perfume
Like shampoo and conditioner; moisturiser, make up and deodorant can leave a barrier on the skin affecting the skins PH levels which create a chemical reaction with tanning bronzers which can turn you green. No one likes green so avoid deodorant and moisturiser or let your tanning technician know
if you are wearing any.

I have an event coming up. What is the best time to get my tan?
Two days prior to your event, to allow the tan to fully develop and then settle into your skin. This also ensures all the bronzer has washed off, so no transfer onto wedding dresses and special event outfits.

For your appointment:
Wear Loose Dark Clothing
It is important you wear loose and weather appropriate clothing to your appointment. A loose dress and thongs in Summer is perfect.
If it is raining we recommend ugg boots, tracksuit pants, a hoodie & umbrella to ensure minimal exposure to droplets.
Once your tan is applied we advise clients not to wear a bra or crop top until after your initial rinse off.
Arrive 5 minutes before your appointment time
To ensure the best results, please ensure you arrive on time to your appointment or 5minutes before if you are a new client to fill out our new client form.
Please note: We have a 4 minute grace period for all appointments, any appointments after this time we may need to reschedule your appointment.
